Before we dive into over 100 DND Mansion Maps, I want to share 10 of my all-time favorites.

I hope you’ll find them just as intriguing and useful as I do.

DND Mansion Battle Map

You can introduce this mansion map by saying:

As your boat approaches the dock, you can see the towering mansion looming ahead of you.

The walls are made of a polished white stone that reflects the light of the setting sun, and the roof is adorned with intricately carved gargoyles.

From your vantage point, you can also see that the mansion is surrounded by a moat of still water.

In the center of the moat sits a grand marble fountain, its waters cascading down into the pool below. As you step onto the dock, you can hear the sound of distant laughter floating on the breeze, and you can’t help but feel a sense of excitement as you anticipate exploring this strange new place.

Describe this mansion map to your players using this language:

The mansion is made of beautiful wood.

No two boards are alike; the grain swirls and spirals in a dizzying dance. Some of the boards are different colors, stained by long-forgotten spills.

The windows are large and plentiful, letting in streams of sunlight that filter through the leaves of the trees and dapple the floor with dancing spots of warmth.

The rooms are numerous and labyrinthine, full of twists and turns.

One wrong turn could take you to who-knows-where. The central room is massive, with a cathedral ceiling that soars high overhead.

There’s a sense of history here, of secrets just waiting to be discovered.

It’s a place where anything could happen… and probably will.

Haunted Mansion DND Map

Describe this haunted mansion like this:

The moon casts an eerie glow over the mansion, and the shadows seem to move in the windows.

The front door is a dark mouth leading into the house, and the stairs leading up to it are worn by years of use. There seems to be a light flickering in the windows, and a sound coming from within the walls.

As you approach, you can see that the house is in disrepair.

The paint is peeling, and the porch is sagging. But despite its appearance, there is an aura of power emanating from the house.

You can feel it pulling you in, inviting you to explore its secrets.

Vampire Mansion

Feel free to borrow these words for your own vampire mansion adventure:

The mansion is situated on the edge of the village, surrounded by a high wall. The gates are made of wrought iron and are always tightly locked.

Beyond the gates, a gravel path leads up to the front door of the mansion.

The door is made of heavy oak and is adorned with a shining brass knocker.

Inside, the mansion is dim and musty. The ceilings are too low for a human to comfortably stand upright, and the windows are covered with heavy drapes.

The floors are made of stone, and they’re always cold, even in summer. The furniture is old and dusty, and it creaks when someone sits down on it. The only source of light comes from candles that flicker in sconces on the walls.

In the center of the mansion is a grand staircase that leads up to the second floor.

The stairway is flanked by suits of armor, and their helmets seem to follow you with their gaze as you ascend.

At the top of the stairs, there’s a long hallway with many doors leading off of it. These doors lead to the bedrooms, which are all empty except for one.

In this bedroom, there’s a large four-poster bed with heavy curtains pulled around it.

On the bed lies a pale woman with long black hair. She’s wearing a red dress, and her eyes are closed as if she’s asleep.

But if you look closely, you’ll see that her chest doesn’t rise and fall with breath.

She’s not sleeping; she’s dead. And she’s not alone. Lying next to her is a man with fangs protruding from his mouth. He too is dead, but his eyes are open, and they seem to be staring right at you…

DND Mansion Map (Mirror Mansion)

Introduce the mirror mansion to your players using the following description:

As you step through the front door of the house, you are immediately struck by the mirrors.

They line the walls, reflect the light, and cast an eerie glow throughout the house. You can see your own reflection on every surface, no matter where you look. Even the ceiling is made of mirrors, giving the impression that the room goes on forever.

As you explore further, you realize that the entire house is a mirror image of itself.

The East Wing is a perfect reflection of the West, and vice versa. It’s as if you are walking through a house that is endlessly repeating itself.

Despite its disorienting effect, there is something strangely comforting about this symmetry.

As you continue to explore, you can’t help but feel like you are being watched by something… or someone.

Estate Mansion Map

If you want to, you can “steal” these paragraphs as a way to describe the estate mansion map:

The DND estate mansion is a stately manor set atop a hill overlooking the picturesque countryside.

The grounds are manicured and well-tended, with a sweeping lawn that leads up to the imposing front doors.

Inside, the house is just as grand.

The rooms are all decorated with luxurious furnishings, and the walls are hung with paintings and tapestries.

The whole house has an air of sophistication and elegance, from the polished floors to the delicate chandeliers. But despite its grandeur, the mansion always feels warm and welcoming, as if it’s truly a home rather than just a house.

DND Mansion with Garden

Introduce this garden mansion with the storytelling of a clever-tongued Bard:

The small mansion is surrounded by lush gardens, with a beautiful fountain in the center. The gardens are filled with the sounds of birds and insects and the air is heavy with the scent of flowers.

The mansion itself is imposing, with tall windows and a large front door.

The front hall is lined with portraits of past owners, and a fire is burning in the fireplace. A staircase leads up to the second floor, where there were more rooms, including a library and a ballroom.

Even though it was clear that the mansion was well-kept, there was a feeling of age about it.

As if it had been frozen in time. It is a place that feels both magical and real, and you will not soon forget it.

DND Nobel Mansion

I enjoy introducing the noble mansion with these words:

As soon as you step through the grand double doors of the noble’s mansion, you are enveloped in an atmosphere of luxury.

Thick carpets cover the marble floors, and the air is filled with the scent of fresh flowers.

Glittering chandeliers hang from the ornate ceilings, casting a warm glow over the spacious rooms. Intricate tapestries adorn the walls, and delicate sculptures stand in pride of place on mahogany shelves.

Every detail has been carefully chosen to create an overall effect of opulence and sophistication.

Even though you know it is only a house, it feels more like a palace.

As you explore each room, you can’t help but feel a sense of awe at the sheer scale and beauty of the noble’s mansion.

Fairytale Mansion Map

There are few better ways to talk about this fairytale mansion than to say:

The mansion sits atop a towering mountain, its peak lost in the clouds.

The path to the front door is lined with fragrant roses, their petals soft as velvet. A faint tinkling sound accompanies the gentle breeze, and as you look closer, you see delicate wind chimes hanging among the roses.

The front door is made of intricately carved wood, and it seems to invite you inside.

As you step into the entryway, you’re enveloped in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. A fire crackles in the marble fireplace, and comfortable armchairs are positioned around the room.

Thick tapestries cover the walls, their colors so rich and vibrant that they almost seem to glow.

It’s clear that this is a place where happy memories are made.

Perhaps you can set the mood with this description:

The front door of the mansion opens into a grand foyer with a sweeping staircase and a gleaming chandelier.

Sunlight streams in through the tall windows, casting a warm glow on the polished floors.

To one side is a formal living room with plush furniture and delicate paintings on the walls. On the other side is a library lined with bookshelves and comfortable chairs.

Beyond the foyer, there is a dining room with an exquisite mahogany table and chairs.

A set of double doors leads out to a balcony overlooking the gardens below.

Upstairs, there are several bedrooms, each with its own unique style. One bedroom has walls painted a soothing lavender color, while another has a four-poster bed and views of the nearby forest.
